Street Art Block Party

Street Art Block Party
Saturday, 8th July, 11am to 9pm, Sneinton Market

This July, the Street Art Festival heads over to Sneinton Market for Nottingham’s biggest Block Party. Join us for a packed market place with independent traders selling anything from streetwear to street food. Check out live painting from local, national, and international street artists, gravity-defying skateboarders, and an awesome bespoke soundsytem by Tekonta, featuring guest DJs Can’t Stop Won’t Stop and Rubberdub.

HUGE thanks to everyone who made it down to Sneinton Market yesterday. What a fantastic turnout and what a great celebration of street art and independent culture. Here are a few shots by Displaced/Replaced of some of the work – Surface Gallery

Massive thanks to the people of Nottingham who attended and made the block party a storm. If you have photos or videos post them in here, for prosperity…. Here’s a video kid acne in action for us I made this week – Tim Onga

We had a great time, thanks very much! We are looking forward to next year already 😀 – Clare Hogson

Just a small section of today’s skate activities – congrats Surface Gallery & Sneinton market on a fantastic event, and thank you for including some skateboarding in the line up! I think it’s safe to say the public enjoyed watching us landing tricks and falling off our boards in equal measure.

We think it’s great for all us skaters, artists and creatives to engage with people, and the excellent public space at Sneinton market, with events like these.

Props to Skate Nottingham and friends (Simon Devenport!) for getting the skaters involved today. A few more of today’s skate photos will go online over the next few days via Varial Magazine🙂
